Man United's McTominay joins Napoli in £25m move

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has sealed a £25 million ($33m) move to Serie A side Napoli, both clubs announced hours before Friday's transfer deadline.

The Scotland international, 27, was keen to secure more regular first-team football. He made 43 appearances last season, although many of those came from off the bench.

Both Fulham and Everton were interested in the midfielder this summer, but a source told ESPN he has been reluctant to join another Premier League club. The move to Napoli ends his over 20-year association with United, who he joined at the aged six.
