United States international Jack McGlynn as joined the Houston Dynamo on a permanent deal from the Philadelphia Union, the two teams announced on Monday.

McGlynn, 21, becomes just the second cash-for-player trade in MLS history after Dejan Joveljić joined Sporting Kansas City from LA Galaxy on Sunday. The new type of transfer was only announced as part of the 2025 MLS roster rule changes on Jan. 14.

Houston has paid $2.1 million for McGlynn's services, with the Union retaining a sell-on percentage of any future fee should the midfielder move again.
